Jennifer Lawrence Pulled Off Two Polar-Opposite Looks in One Night

During the recent Golden Globes, Jennifer Lawrence did not claim victory in her category. However, she did manage to shine in a '70s-style velvet gown and coat when the HBO after-party in Chateau Marmont took place. It was her friend Emma Stone who got the Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical award.

Jennifer Lawrence exuded glamour throughout the night and didn't trip over the ample material she carried around her feet. She carried herself gracefully while wearing metallic-heeled sandals and showcasing remarkable comfort. Lawrence was accompanied by her husband, Cooke Maroney, who wore an all-black ensemble, being just as stylish as his partner. Lawrence seemed to draw inspiration from glam-rock aesthetics for her dress. Stylist Jamie Mizrahi revealed the outfit details on Instagram and identified the draped Proenza Schouler gown and vintage Bill Blass coat as the pieces she wore. The vintage brown fur collar added a timeless touch but also aligned with the recent resurgence of faux fur.

Earlier on the red carpet, Jennifer Lawrence wore a midnight blue velvet gown by Dior. She maintained minimalist makeup, and her long blonde hair had a radiant shine. During the ceremony, Lawrence had the opportunity to humorously remark that if she didn't win, she would leave. Still, she didn't follow up on that vow and remained at the event and after-party, for which she changed.
